(SPEECH) DAVID GLATTSTEIN: The first thing we did to try to think about innovating the veterinary emergency world was focusing on our VEGgies. ASHLEY GRAY: The support they’re providing for doctors, for nurses, for all of the support staff is second to none. (DESCRIPTION) Vets examine pets. Text, Dr. Ashley Gray, Medical Director. MARIAH WILLIAMS: That’s big, unlimited continuing education. Because that’s our profession. Things change every day. DAVID BESSLER: What I’m proudest of is that, reliably, we can bring almost anybody into our company and they will find their why. MICHAEL HYDER: Whether it’s a position that they’re inventing for you, or you say, hey, I think this is something that our company really needs. And they say, that’s a great idea. Let’s go with it. I shake them, wake them up. And I’m like, you’re about to become a veterinarian. It’s the best career. And you’re going to become an emergency vet, which is the best way to practice veterinary medicine. MICHAEL HYDER: In my case, VEG talked about their program and said, we want to be the superheroes of ER medicine. Well, you’ve got my vote. Let’s figure it out. (DESCRIPTION) Vets work on an animal. (SPEECH) SPEAKER 4: Heart rate’s about 90. [MUSIC PLAYING] (DESCRIPTION) Vets take blood and look at X-rays. (SPEECH) What time are we with our station? SPEAKER 5: 12 minutes.
